SPAGHETTI WITH CLAMS AND GARLIC

RECIPE

INGREDIENTS:

Clams – 1 dozen

Spaghetti – ¼ pound (good for 1 full plate)

Salt (for pasta water)

Garlic – 4 cloves, minced

Crushed red pepper / red pepper flakes – ½ teaspoon

Water – ¼ cup

Parsley – ¼ cup or 4 tablespoons, finely chopped

Black pepper – ground; to taste

PROCEDURE:

1. Cook pasta in a boiling water with salt. 5-7 minutes until al dente.

2. Drain the pasta with running water.

3. In a pan, heat the olive oil. Medium heat.

4. Add garlic and red pepper. Saute for 1 ½ minutes.

5. Add the clams and water. Medium to moderately high heat. 5-8 minutes.

6. Lower down the heat. Toss in pasta and parsley. 1 minute to absorb the sauce.

7. Add black pepper to taste.

8. Serve.
